Et tu, Brutus?
Julius Caesar was murdered back in the arches visible in the back of the photo - it's the anteroom of the Roman Senate. They've excavated a lot of the site, but the Senate rooms either don't exist any more or were otherwise destroyed. Anyway, it's interesting - this is just an excavated block right in the middle of an otherwise urban part of Rome.
