About Me

I'm a non-IT professional working in the San Francisco area and living mostly in Sonoma valley and part-time in the Palm Springs area of the California desert (the "Southern command"). I grew up in the Seattle area and have lived in California for nearly 20 years. I live with two cats and PM (who may be a sometime guest blogger).

Embracing the truism that the internet is comprised about 80% of things that probably don't need to be there and 20% of pictures of cats, this blog should follow that approximate rule of thumb, content-wise.

Here's where I'm heading with this blog. I have no aspirations of commercial-anything related to this - this is entirely a personal venture. The intention is that this will be a place for friends/family to read/see/discuss mostly non-political topics and for me to comment on anything from daily cat goings on to films & books to news to recipes or anything else I find interesting.

The caveats: a) my intention is that this will be a place of ideas rather than personalities - this won't be a "dear diary...." place, b) this may be a place I choose to post pieces of short fiction and since I don't feel like labeling anything, it's safer to assume everything you read is fiction (also refer to a) above), and c) there's no right of free speech here except for me - I'm paying for the bandwidth.
